IWANN2001 is an interdisciplinary congress in the field of biological and artificial neural nets with emphasis in the methodology of the interplay between Neuroscience and Computation and in the search of bioinspired problem solving methods for industry and engineering.
The Program Committee is soliciting proposals for pre-organized sessions related to the previous global scope. Also, new sessions in the interdisciplinary spirit of the neurocybernetics are welcome. Prospective organizers should contact prof. J. Mira at jmira@dia.uned.es as soon as possible. Information about current pre-organized sessions and further details for prospective organizers can be found at our web site:

It is the purpose of the programme committee that a substantial part of the contributions came from pre-organized sessions around the topics included in the call for papers, but not limited to these, provided the basic idea.
All the authors willing to submit a paper under a pre-organized session (reviewed by session organizer and one external reviewer) must send 1 hard-copy to the session organizer and two copies plus one camera ready good quality printout to the General Chairman. (See the Call for papers for more details).
Session organizer
The work of a session organizer would consist of
Selection and prospective of 4 or 5 contributions submitted to IWANN2001 under the session.
Act as a first reviewer of these articles. A second review will be provided by the members of the programme committee.
Benefits for session organizers
As "counterpart" of the effort of the organizer of a session, the organization of IWANN2001 offers to her/him:
Chair the session.
A substantial reduction in the inscription fee .
The inclusion of his/her name as "Field Editor" in the proceedings of the conference.
Prospective organizers should contact the General Chairman J. Mira as soon as posible, providing the following information:
Tittle of the proposed session.
A description of the subject for the session.
The areas or topics under the tree of subjects for IWANN2001 to classify the session.
Tentative or suggested authors and titles of the contributions submitted under the session.
The sessions can be in different states depending on the Programme Committee, the chairperson and the papers submitted to it.
