Web intelligence is concerned with the application of AI to the development of a
knowledge-intensive and intelligent service Web. Nowadays, the exponential increase
in the volume, complexity and diversification of data requires combining different AI
techniques to support data access, analysis and exploitation. The representation and
reasoning capabilities provided by AI are helping in tasks related to information access,
interpretation and management. These areas include: knowledge technologies, ontology,
agents, and disciplines like information retrieval, language technology, human-
computer interaction and knowledge discovery. All aspects of the Semantic Web and
linked data development are covered. The session will emphasize papers that combine
theories, methods and experiments from different subject areas in order to deliver
innovative semantic methods and applications. Topics include, but are not limited to,
the following:
- The Semantic Web
- Linked Data
- Knowledge Technologies
- Ontology
- Agents
- Information Retrieval
- Language Technology
- Knowledge Discovery
- Web Standards
